Inclusionary Practices Statewide Professional Development & Support

The Dole building on a sunny summer day with blue sky and clouds.

We share OSPI’s commitment to the rights of students with disabilities across the full range of acuities to meaningfully access academic and social opportunities in general education settings, as codified in Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 392-172A.  Therefore, our SWIFT project team proposes to partner with OSPI, the Center for Strengthening the Teaching Profession (CSTP), and the extended Washington educational community.  SWIFT will also partner with Washington local leaders (i.e., four school leaders from the Lake Washington School District, as practitioners in the target audience; and the University of Washington School Mental Health Assessment, Research and Training [SMART] Center, as a representative of Washington State School Mental Health Leaders), as described throughout the Technical, Management, and Cost Proposals.
