Information Technology

The Information Technology team supports the IT needs of all centers, research units and labs affiliated with the Life Span Institute. They also serve the IT needs of College of Liberal Arts departments that are affiliated with the Life Span Institute who are housed in the Dole/Haworth district of campus.
Specific services include:
- Coordinating computers, equipment, software and IT services purchases and budget estimates
- Setting up and supporting computers, networking devices and technology equipment
- Supporting for computer hardware, software, network and system access, and IT security
- Assistance for software such as email, VPN access, institutional software install and access, and training on various software and digital platforms
- Liaising with KU IT to provide further assistance on web development, application management, network and online storage, server hosting and management, software subscription, security assessment and compliance
- Consulting on lab and system implementation and maintenance
$: Cost of IT services is $69 per hour for computer support per support incident on LSI Centers and projects (e.g., new computer setup, system repair, software setup, etc.).
