Project Development (pre-award) Services

Pre-award services are offered to KU researchers who have a research mission that is in line with the Life Span Institute’s mission. LSI pre-award team members provide assistance throughout the application process and assist with the reporting needs of funded projects.
Specific services include:
- Preparing proposal budgets and budget justifications
- Assuring grant compliance with federal, state, university, and funding agency guidelines
- Compiling and submitting proposals and reports via internal systems, online agency portals, email, and FedEx
- Coordinating award subcontracts with separate institutions
- Submitting letters of intent and no-cost extensions
- Populating proposal application forms
- Serving as a liaison to the Office of Research and with funding agencies
$: Pre-award services are offered without cost to any investigator who uses pre-award services to apply for or manage external funding.
