This application responds to the (CFDA84.325K) Combined Priority for Personnel Preparation (FocusAreaA/1).The University of Kansas Project for Interdisciplinary Preparation in Early Childhood Intervention(PIP-ECI) proposes to increase the number and quality of fully credentialed EI/ECSE and SLP personnel prepared to work with children with disabilities who have high-intensity needs and their families. Forty scholars (14 SLP&26EI/ECSE) complete a Masters degree and obtain license/certification in their respective disciplines and engage in shared courses and group assignments and activities to achieve competence in working as inter professional team members and to serve as advocates for inclusion.
