Biography

Stacha Vera (She/Her/Hers) is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with 10 years of experience working with children with IDD and their families. She has a master's degree from the University of North Texas in Special Education and master's degree from Queen's University Belfast in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Stacha is currently a doctoral student in the Applied Behavioral Science department at KU under the mentorship of Dr. Claudia Dozier. Her research interests include increasing communication in children with autism, caregiver and family coaching, and creating equitable opportunities among marginalized people groups, specifically African American children and their families.
