Biography —
Monica holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the Autonomous University of Nayarit in Mexico. As research assistant at the Center for Community Health and Development and community mobilizer for the Latino Health for All Coalition in Wyandotte County, KS, she focuses on building community partnerships. She works to increase awareness of the Coalition and its mission and activities, as well as support the actions of those working for change and improvement related to reducing health disparities through increasing physical activity, healthy nutrition, and access to health services. Monica serves on the Board of Directors of the Rosedale Development Association, as a Board Member of Central Avenue Betterment Association, and as a Board Member of Rosedale Farmer’s Market. She is also a member of the ArtsKC steering committee representing Wyandotte County.
