Melanie Salsbury

Ms. Melanie Salsbury is the Program Operations Manager for the Life Span Institute, SWIFT Education Center. She works closely with SWIFT leadership to ensure efficient and effective Center-wide operations. She has over 20 years of experience working with families and children with varying backgrounds and abilities. Prior to joining SWIFT in 2016 she worked in Part C and early care and education as a mentor teacher and program administrator. She coordinated home, community, and center-based programs for parents and children with disabilities and provided coaching, consultation, evaluation, and professional learning to early learning centers, Early Head Start, and Head Start programs. Other experience includes directorship at centers accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). She holds certifications in project management and behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health programs. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with highest distinction from Washburn University and is currently pursuing an Early Childhood Unified Masters degree from the University of Kansas.
