Mari Thomeczek

Mari Thomeczek is the COPE Patient Care Coordinator. She currently assists with program development and is particularly involved with the Building healthy Eating and Self-Esteem Together for University Students (BEST-U) treatment protocol. Mari earned her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas in May 2020. She completed her practicum training at the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault in Kansas City, Missouri. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2018 from Hendrix College. Mari is passionate about increasing access to eating disorder treatment. She has a special interest in understanding the intersections between eating disorders and sexual trauma. In her free time, Mari enjoys spending time outdoors and visiting her family in St. Louis.
