Jamie Bezdek

Dr. Jamie Bezdek  is a Research Project Director for the Life Span Institute, SWIFT Education Center. She began her service at the University of Kansas in 2004 as a research assistant, while simultaneously working on her thesis exploring professional perceptions working with students with disabilities. Prior to her employment at KU, she worked for more than ten years in roles supporting individuals with disabilities and families in their home, community, and school environments. She holds a Bachelors in General Studies in Speech, Language and Hearing, a Masters in Education with an emphasis on Autism, and a PhD in Leadership and Systems Change within Education from the University of Kansas. She is a McNair scholar and received the Trio Achievers Award in 2014.
