Andrea Mayfield

Dr. Andrea Mayfield is a Leadership Development and Research Project Director for the Life Span Institute, SWIFT Education Center. Prior to that, she was an elementary charter school principal for four years; a school restructuring specialist for four years (Mississippi Dept. of Ed), and a special education consultant for nine years (Tennessee Dept. of Ed). She also spent thirteen years teaching special education at the elementary level and was an adjunct professor in special education for five years at Cambridge College and the University of Memphis. She received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Alcorn State University, and her master’s degree in Special Education and Doctorate Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi.
