Andre Mitchell

Mr. Andre Mitchell is a Leadership Development and Research Project Director for the Life Span Institute, SWIFT Education Center.  He began his service at the University of Kansas (KU) in 2021.  Prior to his role at KU, he joined the Teach For America corps in 2007.  He was in public education for thirteen years, including roles as an elementary school teacher for five years, a Dean of Students, Dean of Instruction, and school principal.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Morehouse College, Masters in Elementary Education from Arizona State University, and Masters in Education Leadership from Lipscomb University.
