Alexa L'Insalata

Alexa L'Insalata is a doctoral student in KU's Clinical Psychology program and a student of Dr. Tera Fazzino in the Health Behavior and Technology Lab. Her research interests are focused on the bridge between substance use and eating disorders. More specifically, she is interested in examining and applying the mechanisms of addiction to better define and assess excessive exercising, overeating, and other reward-seeking behaviors that influence the development and maintenance of disordered eating. Moreover, using this information she aims to improve prevention and intervention methods for this population.
