Watson-Thompson lauded for service learning work

The KU Center for Civic and Social Responsibility honored Jomella Watson-Thompson with one of its 2016 Faculty and Student Excellence in Service Learning Awards presented April 7 on the KU-Lawrence campus.

Watson-Thompson, associate professor of applied behavioral science, was recognized for her work on connecting students and community partners through ABS courses, specifically “Building Healthy Communities and Community Leadership,” and was described as “an ambassador of service learning practices to faculty across campus.”
