Biography —
Dr. Jeong Hoon Choi is an Assistant Research Professor for the Life Span Institute, SWIFT Education Center and is a member of the Center’s Executive Team. His experience and training prepared him for various roles to effectively carry out research. He participated in multiple transformation projects focused on school leadership, and instructional and behavioral support systems, including social emotional learning, within an Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework. His interest in the schoolwide tiered support system undergirding MTSS dates back to his doctoral research of Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS). Before his role at KU, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Instruction and Leadership Department of Louisiana Tech University. In his current role as Associate Director of Research and Evaluation at SWIFT, he leads research and analyses to investigate and examine evidence of equity-based MTSS.
