ADA commemoration turns spotlight on LSI researchers


The landmark Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) marked its 25th anniversary on July 25 with commemorations held across the country including at the University of Kansas.

One of the nation’s most prestigious media outlets, the Washington Post, featured a story on July 20 by columnist Petula Dvork reporting on attempts by Dot Nary, assistant research professor at the Research and Training Center on Independent Living, to use a tour bus to attend events in the nation’s capitol.
