Jen Humphrey

Jen Humphrey is associate director for strategic communications at the Life Span Institute. She joined the institute in 2018 after serving as the director of external affairs at the KU Biodiversity Institute and Natural History Museum for 11 years and as a senior editor at the KU Endowment Association. She has led efforts in marketing, media relations, planning, events, development and administration. She supports Life Span investigators and graduate students by helping them engage with the public broadly through a variety of media, in support of research projects, dissemination and events. She holds a master of fine arts in creative writing and undergraduate degrees in journalism and women's studies from the University of Kansas.
