Join our Adaptive Fitness Research

A study for adults with a permanent mobility disability.

We are recruiting adults with a permanent mobility disability to join in a research study exploring the effects of Functional Fitness participation.

Our goal is to provide evidence for the functional health changes that may follow participation. 

Compensation

Participants will receive up to $200 total depending on group assignment and research activities completed. A 14-week membership to the Functional Fitness program will be covered.

Activities

Participants will be asked to do the following research activities: 

  • Complete surveys and assessments before and after the intervention
  • Attend 2 functional fitness classes per week for 14 weeks at the location of your choice.

Locations

Activities will take place at facilities in North Kansas City, Mo., Mission, Kan., Basehor, Kan., Lawrence, Kan., and in Houston, Texas

Who can participate

Participants should be:

  • An adult aged 18-74
  • Someone with a permanent mobility disability
