A Look at the Life Span Institute Budget

In order to explain the availability of resources within the Life Span Institute, Director John Colombo gives an overview of finances over the past two decades and how today's dollars compare to past budgets.

"Our recent growth has not been met with significant investment, and we have actually been tasked with doing more with less.  As a result, in order to maintain our level of services, we have little to no room to fund discretionary initiatives right now."

Working in the Office of Research and in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences over the last few years have reminded John Colombo of the uniqueness of the Life Span Institute within the University of Kansas.
