Creating Healthy Places and Spaces to Promote Healthy Eating and Active Living Among Latinos in Kansas City, Kansas
This project works to provide healthy places which reduce risk for cardiovascular disease and diabetes by promoting healthy eating, active living, and access to health services. Several behavioral and health objectives of this project include: to increase fruit and vegetable consumption; to increase engagement in regular physical activity; to decrease levels of obesity; and to increase blood pressure, cholesterol, and hemoglobin A1C checks.
